Post-Doctoral Researcher
I am very fascinated by membrane dynamics and how proteins and lipids interact to shape and maintain cellular function. In the Roux lab, I study ESCRT-III, a conserved membrane-remodeling complex that seals damaged membranes and maintains organelle integrity.
During my PhD in the Karagöz lab at the Max Perutz Labs in Vienna, I investigated the early activation mechanisms of the unfolded protein response during ER stress and uncovered the regulatory role of disordered regions within IRE1's luminal domain. My PhD work deepened my curiosity about how cellular stress influences membrane properties and led me to join the Roux lab in November 2025.
